I am a mostly self-taught painter from the Philippines and have been a full-time artist since 2000. I do have a BA degree majoring in Human Resource Management from De la Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
ABOUT MY WORK
My artistic drive is to create totally original work without reference to other art from the past or present. I am not interested in painting photograph-like images of people. I immerse myself in my work, and my work is based on my emotions and my mood while creating a particular painting. Some may feel that my work is abstract, but it is a representation of my own reality. I attempt to find a bridge or middle ground that connects my rapid-fire multitude of seeming nonsense into something rich, beautiful and meaningful. I love the play of colours and their contrast, but also paint in black and white.
ABOUT MY HOPES
While I totally enjoy for myself expressing my own creativity and my voice in my painting, I also hope to share my work as widely as possible and reach a wider audience, thereby sharing my creations with the world in general.
